By accessing our website and making a booking at Swarnathulasi Homestay ("Homestay," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site and our services.

These terms comply with the UNNATI 2024 Scheme guidelines, applicable state tourism policies, and Indian hospitality regulations.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

  • All guests must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking
  • Valid government-issued photo identification (Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driver's License, or Voter ID Card) is mandatory for all guests
  • The primary guest making the booking must be present during check-in
  • Guests under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

3. Booking and Reservations

3.1 Booking Process

  • Bookings can be made through our website or authorized booking platforms
  • A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and booking confirmation email
  • All bookings are subject to availability
  • We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion

3.2 Booking Information

You must provide accurate and complete information including:

  • Full name (as per government ID)
  • Valid email address and phone number
  • Number of guests
  • Check-in and check-out dates
  • Any special requirements or requests

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept payments through secure payment gateways including credit cards, debit cards, UPI, net banking, and digital wallets.

4.2 Payment Schedule

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking
  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated
  • Prices include applicable taxes (GST) as per Indian tax laws
  • Additional charges for extra services will be billed separately

4.3 Price Changes

Prices are subject to change without notice. However, confirmed bookings will honor the price quoted at the time of booking.

5. Check-in and Check-out

5.1 Check-in

  • Standard check-in time: After 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in subject to availability (additional charges may apply)
  • Valid photo ID mandatory for all guests
  • Guest details will be recorded in our register as per legal requirements

5.2 Check-out

  • Standard check-out time: Before 10:00 AM
  • Late check-out subject to availability (additional charges may apply)
  • Property inspection will be conducted upon check-out

6. Guest Conduct and Responsibilities

6.1 General Conduct

Guests are expected to:

  • Respect the property, other guests, and local community
  • Maintain noise levels, especially during quiet hours (10 PM - 7 AM)
  • Follow all house rules displayed at the property
  • Not engage in any illegal activities
  • Not smoke in non-designated areas
  • Comply with local laws and regulations

6.2 Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Possession or consumption of illegal substances
  • Hosting parties or events without prior permission
  • Bringing additional guests beyond the booked capacity
  • Subletting or transferring the booking to third parties
  • Causing damage to property or disturbance to others

6.3 Pets and Children

Please check our pet and child-friendly policies before booking. Additional charges or restrictions may apply.

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Summary: Cancellations made 48+ hours before check-in receive full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are subject to charges as per our cancellation policy.

8. Liability and Damages

8.1 Guest Liability

  • Guests are liable for any damage caused to the property during their stay
  • Damage charges will be assessed and billed to the guest
  • We reserve the right to charge the payment method on file for damages
  • Guests may be required to pay a security deposit (refundable upon check-out inspection)

8.2 Homestay Liability

  • We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to guest belongings
  • Guests are advised to secure their valuables
  • We maintain reasonable safety measures but are not liable for accidents or injuries except in cases of proven negligence
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, etc.) are beyond our control

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy and as required by homestay regulations.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will work with guests to find reasonable solutions, which may include rescheduling or refunds at our discretion.

11. Modifications to Bookings

  • Modification requests must be made at least 48 hours before check-in
  • Modifications are subject to availability
  • Price differences may apply for date or room changes

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Swarnathulasi Homestay and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Guests may not photograph or record the property for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Complaints

If you have any complaints or concerns during your stay, please notify us immediately so we can address the issue. Complaints raised after check-out may not be eligible for resolution.

13.2 Governing Law

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
